Frequently Asked Questions for Representatives

❓

This page answers common questions about the PJKT representative role, responsibilities, and next steps. If you have additional questions, please reach out through the Discord server.

👋 What exactly is a Representative?

Representatives are the direct line of communications with PJKT Staff and your community. They serve several important functions:

  • Receiving and sharing information relevant to events, developments, and updates
  • Providing first-line feedback on PJKT improvements before public release
  • Getting direct notifications when sign-ups for events (booths, collabs, etc.) go live
  • Serving as a communication bridge between PJKT and their communities

🎭 What types of Representatives are there?

There are two main types of representatives:

Community Representative

This person represents an entire community, such as:

  • Roleplay groups
  • Event organizations
  • Creation communities
  • Many other types of communities

Creator Representative

This person represents themselves and their creations, such as:

  • Avatar creators
  • World creators
  • Content creators
  • Other independent creators

đŸŽ—ī¸ I didn't receive my Discord role. What should I do?

If you haven't received your Representative or Creator Rep role, please contact the staff member who sent you the acceptance message via direct message. They'll be able to assist you with getting the proper role assigned.

đŸŽĒ How do I exhibit at PJKT Fest as a Representative?

Everything you need to know about exhibiting at PJKT Fest can be found in our comprehensive Getting Started with Booths guide! It will walk you through all the steps to creating your booth and setting up the SDK.

đŸ—Ŗī¸ What are Representative Round Tables?

Representative Round Tables are meetings where representatives discuss feedback and receive important information about upcoming events. These are valuable opportunities to provide input on PJKT initiatives and hear about developments before they're publicly announced. Check the announcements in the Representatives category for scheduling details.

🔄 Can we change our community's representative?

Yes, if you need to change your representative, simply reach out to PJKT staff and they can assist with the transition. It's important to keep your representative information current to ensure proper communication channels remain open.

💡 Where can I get help with my booth?

If you need assistance with your booth, PJKT provides several resources:

  • Check the booth-help text channels in the Discord
  • Use the booth-help voice channels for real-time assistance
  • Read through our Booth Specifications documentation
  • For SDK booths, review the Components guide

🤔 What's the difference between template booths and SDK booths?

Template Booths: Created through our web interface, these are simpler to set up and require no coding or Unity experience. They offer preset layouts and customization options.

SDK Booths: Created using our Unity SDK, these allow for complete customization and advanced interactive features, but require Unity knowledge and more development time.

💡Choose the option that best fits your technical skill level and the complexity of your exhibition needs.

đŸŽĒ Do we have to reapply each year for PJKT Fest?

Once you've been accepted, you will be automatically accepted for upcoming years for FEST booth submission. No need to reapply next year for FEST. (This doesn't include HorrorCon or other events that need separate application)

đŸĸ What is the of department Community Relations?

Community Relations will be taking the helm and making sure there is more clear communication from the staff to all of the communities and creators!

🔄 If my Group rebrands or renames itself, do we need to reapply?

It depends on the nature of the change:

  • If the only change is a name change and everything else is the same within the group, then please let the Community Relations Team know, so we can fix stuff on our end.
  • If the group is an entirely different entity and has no relation to the group prior to the rebrand, you will have to reapply.
  • Please let staff know if the old group/community will not exist or will belong to another representative so we can keep logs on our end.

📝 What are the booth submission types?

Wanting to submit a Template Booth, using images to showcase you or community? Check out our Web Booth Creator.

Wanting to make a Custom Booth? You will need to submit using our SDK which can be added to your VRChat Creator Companion or downloaded manually by going here.

🌍 Will there be multiple worlds for this year's Fest?

Yes, there will be multiple worlds which will be based on Communities and Creators!

Communities will be in the main world and creators will be in a separate "artist mall" for the separate world sections.

🤝 I want to do a collab booth with another community/creator, is this allowed?

While we appreciate wanting to collaborate on booths, we will not be allowing it. However, this could be a possibility in the future.

All communities showcased on all individual booths must be approved by having the Representative/Creator Rep Role. However, if you have partnered or collaborative communities, you are allowed to showcase their logo on the booth, but no group codes or anything else. This is to prevent unfair representation by trying to bypass the submission process.
